Outlook
What to expect in 2027
No predictions presented as facts: only what the ritual has done for seven years, and what that implies for the next season.
What stays constant
The nine-post grid has survived every interface change since it appeared. It is cheap to make, easy to read, and it fits the shape of a profile — three reasons it will almost certainly still be the format in 2027.
What is likely to shift
- More metrics. As saves and comments become more visible, recaps will show them next to likes instead of instead of them.
- More scepticism. Readers increasingly check where numbers come from; recaps without a stated metric will look careless.
- More automation. Ranking published posts replaces picking photos, because hand-picking stopped being credible.
The questions to settle in advance
- Which metric? Decide once, and keep it for the year.
- Which account type? Creator or Business, if you want the automatic ranking.
- Which rhythm? A sustainable cadence beats a heroic January.
This page deliberately avoids statistics that cannot be sourced. For the dated history of the ritual, see the 2026 guide's timeline.
Will the format change in 2027?
Nothing indicates a change: the 3x3 grid has survived every interface update since it appeared.
Should I prepare early?
Yes for the rhythm, not for the card. The card is built in December from what the year contains.
